Close or fill a job

Open a job from Jobs in the portal. You need to be an Approver or above to change its state.
Pause for a while
Pause Job stops a job accepting applications until you choose Reopen Job.
Close for good
Choose Close Job on an open or paused job. A box asks Did you fill the position?
- Yes, position filled marks the job Filled.
- No, just close marks it Closed.
Either way, closing is final:
- Applicants still in the pipeline are declined, and they are notified.
- Applicants you have already hired stay hired.
- The job can't be reopened.
The two differ only in the label and in the note left on each declined application ("Position has been filled", or the closing note). You can correct it later: Mark as Filled on a closed job, or Mark as Closed on a filled one.
Hiring again
A finished job is never reopened. Choose Repost Job to start a new job from the same details. It has a new list of applicants and a new QR code, and your followers are told about it again.
On your phone
The business app has Pause job, Reopen job and Close job, with the same question and the same result.
